Chiodos San Antonio Concert reviews
Collective Soul: beautiful energy, awesome music!
SafetySuit reclaimed the throne after a brief respite, filling the stage with an etherial light and their down-to-earth humanity as expressed in furious Rock n' Roll. Forty-five minutes of the most entertaining, roaring, leaping guitar-playing we had seen in some time came forth from this Nashville group, again with solid vocals, especially from the lead singer.
Ryan Star introduced a new song, Suicidal Girl, which he said was for his girls; his boys dug it, too, as well as the new single, Breathe. Our initial excitement in hearing that a second opening band had been added to the bill lifted when we heard Ryan Star's energetic set. Particularly solid is his band, too, especially the backing vocals from the female keyboard player.
Then it was time for Chiodos to take over the stage, and take over they did! They literally were dancing in the aisles.
